Dispatchers earn between $15-$30/hr

What You Bring to the Table 

As a Dispatcher, you must be able to effectively work with customers, vendors, and the company staff. The Dispatcher is responsible for all office operations, answering incoming phone calls, taking messages, scheduling the Service Technicians, and general office and shop support. The Dispatcher also has supervisor responsibility of the office in the absence of the General Manager. The position must therefore be able to effectively deal with employees.

The Dispatcher is normally the first point of contact with customers and handles customer complaints therefore you must present a positive image of the company. The Dispatcher must be cleanly dressed in a professional manner.

Does this sound like you?

  • Proven experience as an Office manager, Front office manager, or Administrative assistant
  • Knowledge of office administrator responsibilities, systems, and procedures
  • Proficiency in MS Office (MS Excel and MS Outlook, in particular)
  • Familiar with email scheduling tools
  • Excellent time management skills and ability to multi-task and prioritize work
  • Attention to detail and problem-solving skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Strong organizational and planning skills in a fast-paced environment
  • A creative mind with an ability to suggest improvements
  • High School degree; additional qualification as an Administrative assistant or Secretary will be a plus
  • Previous home service experience is a plus, especially in HVAC
